The Cultivation of Space
OR, what is [body]             [city]             [image]?
in order to advance, i walk the treadmill of myself
                                Cyclone inhabited by immobility.
                                          but within, no more boundaries!
                                    ~jean Tardieu

The special achievement of our own age is technology and the transitory nature of our generation. It has been most powerful and pervasive in determining the character of our civilization. We live in the acceleration of time and I am fascinated by the sociology of [place] within technology. [place] being a digitally mediated environment for the interaction of human relationships. Body beyond {virtual, technology, or real} yet inescapable from [self].

Analysis of the [body]
                  of the [city]
of the [image] rests on: paths, edges, landscapes, nodes, districts,
and
most intriguing---language, a liquid language.

With every word being an idea, every idea an image, every image an index, indices strung together to form immense interwoven meanings, which patiently develop a whole. What was the [place] like before it was named? How did one see it? How did one function within it? As we look towards the horizon on outreaching paths, our gaze peers through the space of history. In its place, negations, revisions, resyntheses, and resublimations of time, nostalgia for the past, and the repetition of experiences. The fact that where we stand and how we proceed is history.
