RFP's distributed to the art and design communities around the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.
June 22 & 26, 1999, from 3-5:30pm
July 14, 1999 from 3-5pm
There will be three Site Visit Meetings. Project facilitator, Cynthia Pannucci of ASCI, the LSC staff, GPU Energy reps, and lighting industry reps. meet with artists/designers who are considering submitting proposals to answer their questions and get their input. Fiber optic demo. Call the LSC for directions 201 451-0006. These meetings are optional but advised.
August 2, 1999
Deadline for receipt of proposals to ASCI, PO Box 358, Staten Island, NY 10301. (The proposal format below must be precisely followed.)
September 10, 1999
Judging of the proposals.
September 17, 1999
Notification of Winning Proposals & return of proposal materials.
November 1, 1999
Completion of working prototype phase and approvals.
Mid-November, 1999
Installation of working prototypes at LSC for public feedback.
Mid-end November, 1999
Artists give public presentations of their work: proposal drawings, working prototypes, changes from public feedback, final drawings.
Mid-December, 1999
Approval of artists' fabrication & installation plans.
Late-January or early Feb 2000
Installation of both solar energy projects at LSC. |
