August 2007

-  Dee Breger's electron micrographs have been exhibited in recent solo shows in Chicago and Connecticut; and her 7-year participation in a multidisciplinary and controversial project by a maverick group of six international scientists documenting a surprising number of cosmic impacts since the last ice age that have affected global climate and human history is the subject of a soon-to-air documentary by the History Channel called "Comet Catastrophe"; there will also be an article in the August issue of Discover magazine about the project, and a planned documentary by the National Geogrpahic Channel. She will soon give a talk about it at the Philly Explorers Club and to MIT alumni in the Fall of 2007.

Dee Breger's electron micrographs have been exhibited in recent solo shows in Chicago and Connecticut; and her 7-year participation in a multidisciplinary and controversial project by a maverick group of six international scientists documenting a surprising number of cosmic impacts since the last ice age that have affected global climate and human history is the subject of a soon-to-air documentary by the History Channel called "Comet Catastrophe"; there will also be an article in the August issue of Discover magazine about the project, and a planned documentary by the National Geogrpahic Channel. She will soon give a talk about it at the Philly Explorers Club and to MIT alumni in the Fall of 2007.

Anna Dumitriu will be at Eastbourne Hospital discussing all aspects of her  Normal Flora project on Thursday 15th May 11-3 in a day long performative  event. There will be an opportunity to view the new stitched, carved sculptural pieces, hear a new sound work, see the new permanent work for the hospital and digital works that Anna has created, and also collaborate by helping her crochet part of her new 'Bed Flora' piece. Anna was recently featured on BBC TV News and will be filmed again this week by the BBC and also interviewed on BBC Southern Counties Radio on March 13th at 8:30am. [British time]
