The process of design in architecture has many different sequences that onemust go through to create a building. The use of art has been a way forarchitects to explore ideas outside of the built environment. The project was a Multi-use skyscraper that had two functions, a hotel and an office tower. With that in mind I created a sculpture of a of a man and woman dancing together. There movement created the flowing form that would be the connection of the two program pieces (Hotel and Office). Then in an effort to break up the form I used a representational model of the sculpture made of chip board. The two models were then scanned into the computer and manipulated in PhotoShop. This created the image you see now. The image was then turned into a 3D computer model that then became the final building. The computer was the pivotal piece that brought the two models together two dimensionally and later turned it back into a three dimensional model.
