Fluidimage

Fluid Image, is a research laboratory located in Grenoble, France, that is interested in the production, co-production and diffusion of artworks using art technology. Its membership includes French, European and international artists using new technology. 

Fluid Image has a centrally located space within close distance to major art spaces (museums, galleries) also within easy reach of the dynamic city centre of (Grenoble).  This site of creation is situated inside “La Casemate “– CCSTI (Centre for Scientific, Technical and Industrial research located in Grenoble).

Fluid Image initiated and developed ZONE IP, an annual Digital Art Festival. This international event showcases art using new technology, thus embracing different hybrid concepts such as sound, image, and science. This one-week event will highlight artistic interventions using technology, numeric art, mixed media works that will be shown in a variety of atypical venues spread throughout Grenoble and its local area networks.

Emerging and well-known artists will be highlighted during this event and a broad range of contemporary art works will be shown to a large public. The first edition of ZONE IP 2004 was a highly successful event and attendance recorded reached 1500 visitors in 5 days.

Fluid Image will re-organize ZONE IP in 2005 – Interventions in art technology –this event will takes place between February 25th to March 5th, in Grenoble and its surrounding area.     http://www.fluid-image.net/accueil.html

NewYork2050
is a city-wide project that is actively involving the people of metropolitan New York in a dialogue about their collective future and will develop their visions into programs for action that can guide short-term decision-making.  They encourge artists to get involved, and projects will be commissioned.
